We started Jasper Yeast to provide high quality yeast for craft beverage producers. Similar to many craft breweries, we started small and grew organically. We like our products and services to speak for themselves. Prior to joining Jasper Yeast, everyone on our team has worked in a commercial brewery or a business directly serving craft brewers needs. As former head brewers, microbiologists, lab managers, keg cleaners and homebrew shop employees, we have a good perspective on what brewers expect and need from a yeast lab, and the ways we can innovate and improve that experience.

Jasper Akerboom received his PhD in Microbiology and Food Technology from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
Travis was able to get his brewers foot in the door by interning at Laurelwood Brewing Company in 2006.
Justin was bartending when he struck up a conversation with a head-brewer looking for part time help.
Ben received his BS in Bioinformatics with a focus in Genomics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013.
