Justin was bartending when he struck up a conversation with a head-brewer looking for part time help. He began his brewing career at Caboose Brewing Co in 2015, eventually becoming their head brewer. He completed the Siebel Institute’s brewing technology course and brewed at Ocelot Brewing Co. before joining our team in late 2019.

He originally studied biology and hydrology with an intent to study sharks as a marine biologist but luckily was able to apply much of his learnings to brewing and lab work. He also enjoys live musical performance and has sung in numerous local heavy metal acts. Also luckily, he applies very little of this to his lab work.
