Een robuuste, veelzijdige giststam, ideaal voor een scala aan stijlen, van ESB's tot Amerikaanse IPA's. Licht fruitig, iets meer karakter dan de typische Amerikaanse Ale gist. Denk aan stouts, hazy IPAs en barleywines. Betrouwbare gist die wel tegen een stootje kan.

JY038 - O'Malley's Irish
Gist die geen echte introductie behoeft. Fris, zuiver en droog. Iets fruitiger bij warmere fermentatie. Afkomstig van 's werelds grootste stoutproducent.

JY160 - UK Ale IX (Whitbread)
Een extreem hard flocculerende Engelse gist. Coaguleerd tot een compacte massa rond de 15°C, zeer makkelijk om even de gist uit de tank te halen en daarna warmer te drooghoppen. Snelle vergister, vergistingsgraad is hoog. Ook geweldig voor Amerikaanse stijlen, gebruikt door een van de grootste IPA-brouwers ter wereld als een betrouwbare huisgiststam. Als de vergisting traag van start gaat, pomp dan het wort rond van onderkant tank door de racking arm om de boel goed te mixen.

JY183 - Tim T. (UK Ale XI)
Fantastische Britse gist, beroemd om zijn nootachtige moutigheid. Zeer geschikt om als cask-gist te worden gebruikt, je hebt geen klaringsmiddel nodig. Beroemd voor de Landlord cask ale.

Sourced from Burton upon Trent, this Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain produces nice apple/pear notes with hard candy esters. Finishes clean and malty. Whether you’re brewing a hoppy IPA, a robust porter, or a sessionable bitter, Burton delivers timeless character with every pint. This yeast likes water of a high mineral content, and is better suited for higher gravity ales compared to some other British yeasts. Closely related to JY028, a little less robust with more ester character.
